This is the official site for Austin’s chapter of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School. Where drinking and drawing is the norm. We host monthly life drawing classes with a twist. We get the best local entertainers to pose for us and we take up residence in a bar for an afternoon of getting our sketch on. Dr. Sketchy’s was started by Molly Crabapple in New York City. Check out the originals at the Dr. Sketchy’s website. We meet every third Saturday of the month, but keep an eye on this site or sign up on the email list for the real low-down as it happens. Normally a session consists of one or two models, a DJ, your host and three rounds of poses. A warm up round of 1 and two minute poses, a break, some drinks, some 5 and 10 minute poses, a break, some more drinks, and then as many long poses (15-20 minute) as we can fit in. There are often acts and always prizes and contests. We try to keep things fast and loose, but we do have a few rules.
